Pain and dysfunction in the upper extremities can have many causes. Sports or work-related injuries, overuse and/or trauma from an accident are just some of the possibilities.
Upper extremities and joints such as shoulders are subject to torn muscles and ligaments from misuse, impingement and trauma. The rotator cuff is particularly vulnerable to strains and tears. Frozen shoulder is another common condition. Further down the arm, elbow tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome in the wrists can occur.
Our Physical and Occupational Therapists are committed to offering clinical excellence in upper extremity rehabilitation. As a part of this commitment we strive to offer the most up-to-date treatment techniques including focus on restoration, prevention and function.
